BASF Battery Materials, through its joint venture BASF Shanshan Battery Materials Co., Ltd. (BSBM), has achieved a major milestone in next-generation battery technology. In collaboration with Beijing WELION New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., BASF has successfully delivered its first batches of mass-produced Cathode Active Materials (CAM) for Semi-Solid-State batteries – marking a significant step towards industrializing Solid-State batteries.
 

Zhejiang Guanghua Technology Co., Ltd. (KHUA), a global manufacturer specializing in polyester resins for powder coatings, and Chongqing Hehui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Hehui), a polyurethane catalysts company, are adopting BASF’s methodology to calculate product carbon footprints (PCF).

BASF and Shanghai Fourier Intelligence (Fourier) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to evaluate and develop new material solutions for various robot applications. 

Today, BASF’s widely-loved Kids' Lab program for the first time takes place at Zhanjiang Verbund site, also marking its third consecutive year in Zhanjiang. This year, BASF introduces two new experiments, “The Secrets of Batteries” and “The Magic of Electrolysis”, helping children understand the chemical reactions behind batteries and explore the various applications of electrolysis. During the five-day program in Zhanjiang, around 1,000 children aged 6 to 12 from across the city will delve into the fascinating world of chemistry through interactive and safe hands-on experiments.
 

The Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF’s Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, has been selected to supply innovative PET recycling washing solutions for Circular Plastics Company’s new plastic recycling plant in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
