BASF Indonesia’s efforts in the areas of efficient resource utilization, environmental management and compliance and community outreach were recognized by various government ministries in December 2021. This award was conferred to encourage the implementation of the Green Industry and recognize companies that have utilized resources efficiently, effectively, and sustainably. With the assessment verified by the Advisory Board and the Technical Team, only 88 companies nationwide were awarded level 5 and 49 with level 4.
The Ministry of Environment and Forestry awarded BASF Indonesia's Cengkareng, Merak, and Cimanggis Site with PROPER ‘Blue’ category for the company performance rating assessment program in environmental management for 2020-2021. Public Disclosure Program for Environmental Compliance (PROPER) is annually organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to encourage industrial compliance with environmental regulations. PROPER Blue reflects the company's full compliance with environmental management.
