New managing director for BASF in Taiwan
Taipei, Taiwan – February 27, 2017 – Kin Wah Chay has been appointed the new Managing Director of BASF Taiwan, effective March 1, 2017. Chay succeeds Eng Leong Goh, who will become Managing Director of BASF Malaysia.
Chay began his career in BASF as Marketing Head of Engineering Plastics Asia Pacific, and has held several management positions within the company over the last 12 years. Prior to his new role, he was Vice President, Global Business Management Specialty Plastics at BASF, based in Shanghai.
Chay has extensive experience in sales and marketing in Asia and Europe, as well as in industry cluster development for 20 years. He has also contributed to many successful government-to-government initiatives and private sector projects in Singapore when he worked at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).
Chay is a Singaporean, and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the National University of Singapore.
