Our Connect Asia Trainee Program – Coatings Young Professionals offers you the chance to prove your capabilities and gain experience in different BASF locations around the globe, to fully prepare you for interesting career opportunities within the company in Asia on completion of this traineeship.

What we are looking for

We are looking for committed and mobile candidates who are comfortable working internationally with colleagues from diverse cultures and functions. You should also be flexible enough to cope with the changing demands of global business.

We are hiring candidates with MBA, and with Master or PhD Degrees in:

  • Chemical & Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Business Administration with Sales or Marketing focus
     

We expect you to have at least two years of working or study experience abroad. Prior relevant industrial placements or professional work experience are beneficial.

You have excellent communication skills and very strong written and oral English skills, additional foreign language skills are desirable. You are a strong team player who is continuously striving for achievement. Intercultural orientation is important and your flexibility and mobility rounds up your profile.

Which responsibilities can you expect?

For a duration of between 12 and 36 months you will rotate through various units including at least one assignment abroad. Challenging tasks, exciting projects and responsibility from day one are features of this global rotational program. You will gain insights into BASF Coatings and your particular focus field with a tailor-made rotational plan suited to your future Asian assignment after finishing the program.
