Scratch-resistant clearcoat

Microscratches, from using a car wash, for example, could soon be a thing of the past, thanks to BASF’s new clearcoat iGloss^®. Daimler is the first car manufacturer to introduce this scratch-resistant paint, which is used to coat three Mercedes Benz models. The clearcoat provides a glossy finish, as well as protection from UV light and environmental erosion. On top of all these features, BASF’s innovative Gloss® technology, which can be applied in the same way as a common clearcoat, also provides extremely high scratch resistance. This keeps your car looking new for much longer.
