December 01, 2025 – With immediate effect, or as contract terms allow, BASF will increase prices for its Lupranate^® TDI (Toluene Diisocyanate) by $200 per metric ton in ASEAN and South Asia.

BASF has officially commissioned its high-performance dispersant production line at the Jiangbei New Material Technology Park, Nanjing, China. This investment enables local production of the most advanced dispersants using Controlled Free Radical Polymerization (CFRP) technology. The overall global capacity increase improves supply reliability and flexibility, along with production from the company’s site in Heerenveen, the Netherlands.

November 20, 2025 – With immediate effect, or as contract terms allow, BASF will increase prices for its Lupranate^® MDI (Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate) basic products by $200 per metric ton in South Asia.

BASF is now complementing its polyphthalamide (PPA) portfolio by Ultramid® Advanced N3U42G6, a polyamide 9T with non-halogenated flame-retardant, which minimizes electro-corrosion of metal contacts in electric and electronics (E&E) parts for e-mobility. The flame-retardant PPA increases the safety and durability of high-voltage (HV) connectors in e.g. inverters, DC-DC converters and batteries of electric cars. Due to its high strength and stiffness over a broad temperature range, its outstanding chemical resistance and dimensional stability, the Ultramid^® Advanced N grade enhances the robustness and reliability of thin-walled HV connectors meeting growing industry needs for halide-free E&E components used in warm and humid conditions. 

The American coffee brand Bruvi^® now uses Ultrason^® E 2010 to manufacture the extractor lens in its coffee brewers. The complex injection-molded component is part of Bruvi’s unique auto-optimized brewing technique, scanning the coffee pod and then automatically adjusting the brewing parameters to the specific recipe for the optimal brew of each individual coffee. The BASF polyethersulfone (PESU) contributes to the durability of the machine by its excellent mechanical strength, its high heat and steam resistance up to 180°C, as well as dimensional stability at varying temperatures. The food-contact approved thermoplastic meets Bruvi’s standards for ensuring tastier coffee and hygienic brewing: It does not affect the taste of the coffee or gives off any odors. This allows Ultrason^® E 2010 to outperform other materials which are used in coffee machine applications.
