Kuantan, Malaysia – Aug 9, 2025 – BASF PETRONAS Chemicals Sdn Bhd is proud to announce the successful completion of its latest environmental initiative aimed at enhancing the coastline and preserving our natural habitats through sustainable practices.

The Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF’s Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, has been selected to supply innovative PET recycling washing solutions for Circular Plastics Company’s new plastic recycling plant in Vung Tau, Vietnam. 

BASF has reached a major construction milestone at the Zhanjiang Verbund site with the successful mechanical completion of the first batch of plants in the acrylics complex, including the glacial acrylic acid (GAA) and butyl acrylate (BA) plants.
