Andreas Biermann appointed to BASF Shared Service Center, Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – January 18, 2016 – Andreas Biermann has been appointed the new Managing Director for its Shared Service Center, Kuala Lumpur. Biermann succeeds Lau Kin Pong who is retiring after 21 years with the company.
Biermann will oversee the operations of BASF’s Shared Service Center located at Menara TM, which provides functional services in the areas of finance, human resources, environment, health & safety, controlling, procurement and information services to 17 countries in Asia Pacific.
Prior to this, Biermann, who holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, was the Vice President for Controlling Information Services and Supply Chain Operations, as well as the Managing Director at BASF Business Services Holding GmbH in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Biermann joined BASF SE in 1988 and has subsequently held several management positions in Germany, South Korea and China.
