BASF, one of the world’s leading chemical companies, has appointed Juliana Hosken Wernek as its new Head of Market Area Africa.  Juliana replaces Dr Michael Gotsche whose delegation to Africa has come to an end and who is now responsible for implementing the new strategy for the EMEA Region.

“Africa is a continent full of possibilities and immense potential,” said Juliana on the announcement of her appointment.  “This provides us as a company with enormous scope to touch the lives of people across the continent and I am tremendously excited to be part of this journey.  By keeping the customer and our people at the centre of everything we do, I am energised by the opportunities for us to grow Africa as a team and as a business across the continent“.

With over 20 years of experience in Marketing, Business Management, Innovation and Sustainability, Juliana stands out for her expertise in leadership positions, team development and the management of culture, brand and business transformation projects.
