BASF Kids' Lab

Success story at BASF Kids Lab

Launched in 1997, the BASF Kids' Lab is a success story that started out as a “hands-on exhibition” in Ludwigshafen and now fascinates children all over the world.

As a leading chemical company, BASF aims to stimulate an interest in science and foster curiosity. More than 900,000 kids around the world have taken part in experimentation programs since the first hands-on workshops.

Pitched at eight to twelve year olds, the program explores science through interacting with everyday items like water, food and soil.

The Kids’ Lab workshops are designed to encourage children’s sense of discovery and teaches them good science methods and skills.

Much of what they experience and learn is transferrable and will remain in the children’s minds and in their everyday lives.
