Maintenance & Technical Expertise
Within the BASF Group, the Competence CenterFunctional Division Engineering & Maintenance Technical Expertise manages all processes and services for systems engineering and maintenance worldwide.
This includes the departments of Engineering, Centers of Technical Expertise, Technical Services Research, Maintenance, Turnaround Management and Technical Inspection. We deliver a broad spectrum of competitive services that are tailored directly to the needs and business models of our customers in the business units, research and service units of the BASF Group.
Whether it be new processes or technologies for the BASF Group – we are the driving innovative force behind large-scale implementation. We support our customers in the conversion of process innovations from BASF research into commercial success. Alongside this, we also systematically advance our technologies, tools and products through corporate research in the field emerging technologies.
Our employees have comprehensive technical expertise that means they are able to find a solution for virtually every technical challenge within the BASF Group. Our customers profit from our consulting expertise and our comprehensive BASF knowledge. We have amassed extensive operator knowledge through daily and intensive exchange with our operative divisions. As a result, we are able to ensure a permanent feedback of experiences from plant operation into engineering and maintenance concepts and we can optimize lifecycle costs further.
Next to more than 1,500 craftsmen, almost 800 technicians, more than 350 and master craftsmen and around 450 colleagues in other roles, we employ around 900 1,000 engineers from the fields of process technology, electrical engineering, automation technology and mechanical engineering as well as civil and business engineers - and their numbers are growing. We are therefore always on the look-out for dedicated graduates and professionals.
