Hiring Process

We want you to have a smooth and easy hiring process, so here's some helpful information about the steps you'll go through. 

1. Application

Once you find a role that interests you, you can begin the online application process. It's designed to be straightforward and requires only your email address to get started—no profile creation is necessary. After you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation immediately. 

Our job openings are shared internally and externally to attract talent and support internal growth. 

2. Screening 

Our Talent Acquisition team reviews every application. If you meet the requirements for the job you applied to, they will contact you for a phone call to learn more about you. Successful candidates will be interviewed by the hiring team for further consideration. 

3. Interview 

To ensure a thorough evaluation, we conduct panel interviews, which can be held either virtually or in person. During these interviews, our hiring team will ask behavioral questions that enable you to demonstrate how your past experiences have shaped your qualifications for the position. 

4. Offer 

Once all interviews are completed, our hiring team will make a final decision and extend an offer to the selected candidate. As part of this process, we will provide detailed information about BASF's competitive compensation and benefits package. We value transparency and encourage you to ask any questions you may have to ensure you fully understand the offer. 

5. Background and medical check 

At BASF, safety is our top priority. Once you accept our offer, we will begin the necessary background and medical checks to ensure your well-being and that of our employees. We collaborate with trusted and reputable vendors to provide a seamless and positive experience throughout this process. You can rest assured that our dedicated recruiters will support and guide you every step of the way, ensuring a thorough and efficient completion of these checks. 

6. Onboarding 

Once you are cleared for employment, we will contact you to welcome you and establish a start date. At this point, we’ll be thrilled to have you join our team!

Meet your hiring team

Recruiter
Our dedicated Recruiter will be your primary contact and go-to person throughout the recruitment process, ready to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. They will review your application, conduct thorough phone screenings, schedule your interviews, and guide you through every step of the process, ensuring you receive timely status updates. 
Interviewers 
The interview panel will be led by the Hiring Manager who will be accompanied by other team members who will provide feedback and recommendations, as well as collaborate with the hiring team to make informed hiring decisions. 
Talent Acquisition Partner 
The Talent Acquisition Partner (TAP) will serve as your point of contact once you have been selected as the candidate of choice. They will personally reach out to you to extend our offer of employment, providing a comprehensive explanation of our compelling package and the competitive benefits offered by BASF.
