1. Sr. Mechanical Reliability Engineer in Freeport, Texas
BASF’s Verbund site in Freeport, Texas currently has an open position for professionals with a bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical engineering), construction management or physics, with seven or more years of experience in engineering, inspection or construction in the manufacturing industry, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
As a Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer, you will be in charge of implementing and documenting mechanical integrity programs, ensuring the repair quality of equipment, providing recommendations based on inspections, supporting audits, troubleshooting and assisting with budget planning, as well as providing technical expertise, among other tasks.
2. Project Quality Engineer in Wyandotte, Michigan
The Performance Materials division is currently searching for a Project Quality Engineer to support product development projects and ensure that they comply with engineering quality requirements set by BASF and customer specifications.
As Project Quality Engineer, you will be in charge of addressing customer-specific requirements, making sure they are efficiently implemented according to industry norms and recognized standards and procedures. Additionally the role involves conducting regular audits and managing operating customer portals and QM-related IT systems.
If you are interested in the position, you’ll need to have a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar education in the manufacturing field to apply, as well as five years of experience in quality management, proficiency in SAP PPM, Microsoft Office, and other content management systems.
3. Electrical Instrument Control Engineer in McIntosh, Alabama
BASF’s Performance Chemicals division is looking for an Electrical Instrument Control Engineer in McIntosh, Alabama site. You will be responsible for making sure that the on-site instrument and electrical equipment is designed, procured and installed in compliance with industry and BASF regulations.

BASF’s Global Engineering Team is looking to incorporate a Senior Fixed Equipment Engineer at the Geismar site in Louisiana, who can provide fixed equipment engineering services across the site, including piping systems, pressure vessels and atmospheric storage tanks, as well as ensuring compliance with all inspection and repair codes, reviewing inspection reports and providing recommendations, among other tasks.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, have at least seven years of experience in the maintenance and reliability of fixed equipment, and hands-on knowledge and experience with all categories of fixed equipment and work processes, applicable codes and standards.
5. Operations Development Coordinator in Attapulgus, Georgia
The Catalyst team at BASF’s Attapulgus site in Georgia is looking for an Operations Development Coordinator to develop, implement and document the entire training curriculum of production employees and ensure that all necessary training is completed and up-to-date, supporting safe and reliable operation performance.

6. Electrical Instrument Control Engineer in McIntosh, Alabama
BASF’s Performance Chemicals business is looking for an Electrical Instrument Control Engineer to join their team in the McIntosh, Alabama site. In this position, you will be in charge of providing capital project instrumentation and electrical design for small and medium projects, provide assistance to I/E Designers and third parties, conduct quality checks on design packaging and ensure compliance with local regulations and codes, among other tasks.
To apply, you will need to hold a Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in electrical or instrumental engineering, have a minimum of five years of experience working in maintenance or process improvement in a chemical plant, as well as experience working with electrical systems of over 50 years old, as well as high and low voltage systems.

7. Reliability Engineer in Attapulgus, Georgia
The Attapulgus Catalyst team is looking for professionals with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (or with equivalent work experience with relevant degrees) that are experience in maintenance or reliability engineering work at an industrial plant environment to join.
As Reliability Engineer, you will be in charge of developing and implementing reliable engineering systems as well as of spearheading the execution of a multi-year reliability plan, analyzing root cause analysis of equipment failures and putting corrective actions into place to address the causes. You will also be tasked with developing repair procedures to improve plant reliability and implementing reliability methodologies such as RBI, RCM and RCA. BASF also offers relocation assistance in case you need to move to Georgia.
8. Senior I&E Maintenance Engineer in Geismar, Louisiana
The Chemical Intermediates business is hiring a Senior Instrument and Electrical Maintenance Engineer to make sure the Diols and Derivatives area of BASF’s Geismar, Louisiana site has the right instrumental and electrical equipment, with adequate design, according to BASF standards and local regulations.
Applicants will need to hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and have at least five years of experience providing technical guidance in a chemical or petrochemical operation, as week as knowledge of applicable industry codes such as OSHA, NFPA, NEMA and PSM, among other requirements.
9. Testing Supervisor Engineer in Attapulgus, Georgia
The Group Research team at BASF’s site in Attapulgus, Georgia is searching for a Testing Supervisor. In this position, your responsibilities will include overseeing the two micro-testing units, analyzing the data and reporting results, collaborating with several on-site teams to make sure operations are consistent, reliable and safe, and ensuring that the catalyst test methods are statistically reliable, among other tasks.
To qualify for this position, applicants will need to hold a master’s degree in chemical engineering as well as at least five years of experience, or a Ph.D. in the same field, with a minimum of three years of experience, and have extensive experience in testing maintenance and safety requirements and process and automatic control software. This position includes a yearly bonus.
10. Operations Engineer at Malcolm, Indiana
If you are interested in working at a manufacturing plant, BASF’s Malcom Indiana site is looking for an Operations Engineer to work at its PESOL plant. In this position you will need to make sure that quality chemical products are being manufactured safely, efficiently and on time, collaborating with operations, maintenance, technology and production teams to identify opportunities of optimization, cost reduction and quality improvement.
