The offshore wind farm Hollandse Kust Zuid, owned by Vattenfall, BASF and Allianz, is located in the North Sea, 18-36 kilometers off the Dutch coast between the towns of Scheveningen and Zandvoort. The 139 turbines have a total capacity of 1.5 GW, making it one of the largest offshore wind farms in the world. The wind farm is expected to be fully operational in 2024.BASF will utilize about half of the generated electricity to supply several production sites in Europe, which is approximately 3 terawatt hours per year.

Polyurethane footwear materials offer processing advantages in combination with excellent physical properties. The high flexibility over a broad temperature range is a clear advantage in comparison for example with rubber. Polyurethane can be combined with other materials, allowing a variety of choices of designs and styles for customers.
