BASF Chattanooga is now accepting applications for the 2026 TECH Academy

BASF’s Chattanooga site, in partnership with Chattanooga State Community College, will host its annual TECH Academy program, which introduces high school students to technical and craft careers through skills classes, workshops, and industry tours. Beginning the week of June 8, participating students will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM)-related career fields through hands-on learning with industry professionals.

BASF is further expanding its industry-leading seed portfolio with the addition of three new Stoneville® cotton varieties for the 2026 growing season. All new varieties for 2026 include Axant® Flex technology, cotton’s first and only quad-stacked herbicide trait*, and three-gene insect control with the TwinLink® Plus trait.

BASF enters long-term agreement to secure renewable energy certificates, supporting Scope 2 emissions reduction at U.S. sites

BASF has signed a 15-year agreement with BP Energy Retail Company to acquire Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). These certificates are linked to approximately 47 megawatts (MW) of annual capacity from Swift Current Energy’s Castle Gap Wind project in Central Texas. By securing RECs, BASF can offset carbon-intensive, grid-supplied electricity attributed to multiple U.S. locations, helping to reduce emissions in its value chain.
 
The 2025 Real Results Yield Challenge brought together 1,800 farmers and 300 retailers from 30 states, who tested Veltyma® fungicide, Revytek® fungicide and Revylok® fungicide in real-world side-by-side comparisons against untreated plots or competitive products.

BASF Real Results Yield Challenge delivers high yields and big wins for farmers nationwide

Thousands of growers and retailers participated in the 2025 Real Results Yield Challenge, the largest nationwide comparison plots program by BASF. While most participants enjoyed the benefits of consistent performance, increased yield and a stronger ROI from BASF fungicides, three farmers also walked away with an early holiday surprise: a two-year lease on a 2025 Ford® Super Duty® F-250® Lariat®.
