Congresswoman Sheri Biggs visits BASF Seneca to learn about local manufacturing

BASF’s Seneca site recently welcomed Congresswoman Sheri Biggs, who represents South Carolina’s third Congressional District and is currently serving her first term in the U.S. House of Representatives. The visit provided an opportunity for the Congresswoman and her staff to learn more about local manufacturing operations and the site’s role in supporting industry, jobs, and economic growth in Oconee County.

BASF launches biomass balance Autofroth foam systems for North American low pressure polyurethane foam market

BASF has introduced biomass balance (BMB) grades of its Autofroth® polyurethane systems for the low pressure polyurethane foam market. These mass-balanced products are REDcert2 certified, along with many BASF sites, including the recently certified Clemson, South Carolina site.
 
BASF has introduced Circalo: Low Carbon Intensity Crops, a comprehensive, unified platform designed to connect farmers, agronomists and ethanol producers with the tools needed to help operationalize agricultural CI under evolving regulatory frameworks, including 45Z.

BASF receives notice of EPA approval for Engenia herbicide

BASF received notice from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of federal registration for Engenia® herbicide for over the top (OTT) applications on dicamba-tolerant soybeans and cotton. This new registration enables American soybean and cotton farmers with an additional tool to battle weeds that are increasingly resistant to other herbicides.

BASF Chattanooga is now accepting applications for the 2026 TECH Academy

BASF’s Chattanooga site, in partnership with Chattanooga State Community College, will host its annual TECH Academy program, which introduces high school students to technical and craft careers through skills classes, workshops, and industry tours. Beginning the week of June 8, participating students will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM)-related career fields through hands-on learning with industry professionals.
