BASF has introduced Circalo™: Low Carbon Intensity Crops, a comprehensive, unified platform designed to connect farmers, agronomists and ethanol producers with the tools needed to help operationalize agricultural carbon intensity (CI) under evolving regulatory frameworks, including the Clean Fuel Production Credit (Section 45Z).

BASF received notice from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of federal registration for Engenia^® herbicide for over the top (OTT) applications on dicamba-tolerant soybeans and cotton. This new registration enables American soybean and cotton farmers with an additional tool to battle weeds that are increasingly resistant to other herbicides. 

BASF’s Chattanooga site, in partnership with Chattanooga State Community College, will host its annual TECH Academy program, which introduces high school students to technical and craft careers through skills classes, workshops, and industry tours. Beginning the week of June 8, participating students will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM)-related career fields through hands-on learning with industry professionals.

BASF’s Wyandotte facility has earned a significant environmental recognition for its efforts to reduce and manage the loss of plastic resins from operations. The facility has achieved Operation Clean Sweep^® (OCS) Blue Verification, a globally recognized milestone for strengthening practices that help prevent plastic resin loss.
 

BASF is further expanding its industry-leading seed portfolio with the addition of three new Stoneville^® cotton varieties for the 2026 growing season. All new varieties for 2026 include Axant^® Flex technology, cotton’s first and only quad-stacked herbicide trait*, and three-gene insect control with the TwinLink^® Plus trait.
