Directions to our RTP locations
- Davis Drive Campus
From Raleigh/Durham International Airport (RDU): Take I-40 W to Exit 280 for Davis Drive. Turn left onto Davis Drive, and our campus is approximately 1 mile down the road on the right.
From Downtown Durham: Take NC-147 S to I-40 E. Exit at Davis Drive (Exit 280) and turn right.
Park in our front visitor lot and enter our main entrance to check in with Security.
*If you have an oversized vehicle (larger than a box truck) please enter our site through our Highway 54 entrance, turn right and press the call button at the gate. Security will direct you from there.

From RDU: Take I-40 W to Exit 281 for NC-147 N. Turn left onto TW Alexander Drive; our building is on the left.
From Downtown Raleigh: Take I-40 W to Exit 281 for NC-147 N. Turn right onto TW Alexander Drive; look for our signage near the entrance.
Park at our Visitor Center and check in with Security.
Contractor Pre-Access Requirements
Prior to performing work at our site, contractors must:
- Be pre-qualified (green-flagged) and connected to the BASF RTP location in Avetta unless the work is specifically exempted (discuss with your BASF contact).
- Have a written safety plan or task hazard assessment appropriate for the complexity and hazards associated with the job.
- If working on a BASF Capital Project, a pre-access meeting will be conducted. Your BASF contact will let you know if this is needed.
- Each worker must complete contractor orientation prior to starting work. The orientation is valid for 12 months. Contractors may complete orientation on site or by following the remote orientation instructions: Contractor Remote Orientation
- Each worker will review and sign our site access agreement as part of our electronic sign in system.
- Contractors must supply a background verification certificate on each worker that will be performing work at the site.
Security
Contractors should be aware of the following BASF Security policies:
- Alcohol, controlled substances and weapons are all prohibited on BASF sites, including in vehicles parked on our site.
- BASF reserves the right to search vehicles and persons while on site. This is posted at each entry to our site.
- Photography and video recording are prohibited on site without BASF authorization.
- All contractors will be issued a badge while on site. Contractors must wear this badge in a visible location while on campus.
- Each contractor must sign in each day.
