Charitable Contributions
BASF Corporation focuses its charitable giving in areas that directly support the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility. This includes Science Education, Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), Innovation, Being an Employer of Choice, and other programs and initiatives important to the quality of life in BASF site communities and for various BASF stakeholders.
Charitable Donations Policy
Donations will be made only to eligible non-profit organizations for which a tax deduction is allowable under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Under this policy, donations will not be made to the following:
- U.S. nonprofit organizations and institutions not exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service code
- Partisan political organizations
- Organizations that discriminate by race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, age, or any other basis prohibited by law
- Faith-based organizations
- Sectarian organizations whose services are limited to members of any one group
- Fraternal organizations
- Individuals
- Organizations or persons soliciting by telephone only
