BASF has announced a donation of $353,000 to Capital Area United Way. The funds were raised in 2024 through the collective efforts of BASF and its employees, including during various special events, and were officially presented during a jambalaya cookoff at BASF’s Geismar site on May 15.

Twenty-seven area high school students recently completed BASF’s TECH Academy – a week-long educational and workforce development program hosted at River Parishes Community College (RPCC). TECH Academy encourages students to learn more about technical and craft careers through experiments, demonstrations, field trips and interactions with industry professionals.

BASF has completed its capacity expansion for key specialty amines manufactured at its Geismar, Louisiana site. As a result, BASF will be able to produce more of its key polyetheramines and amine catalysts marketed under the Baxxodur® and LupragenTM brands.
