BASF at CIPPE 2026: Integrated solutions enable advanced chemical production
- BASF to showcase a wide range of solutions dedicated to the Chinese chemical industry
- Highlighted technologies include catalysts and adsorbents, petrochemical and intermediates technologies, and high-pressure equipment
- Meet BASF experts in Hall E1 at booth E1020
Shanghai, June 4, 2026 - BASF is exhibiting for the first time at the China International Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE) in the Shanghai New International Expo Center from June 9 to 11, 2026, at Booth E1020, Hall E1.
BASF showcases four areas of expertise tailored to the Chinese market: Petrochemicals and intermediates technology licensing, chemical catalysts and adsorbents with high-performance catalysts lowering emissions, and customized high-pressure equipment.
BASF presents selected solutions from its chemical catalysts and adsorbents portfolio, designed to support petroleum and petrochemical operations through enhanced process efficiency, improved product quality and reliable performance:
- Advanced hydrogenation catalysts: BASF’s C3, C4 and pygas hydrogenation catalysts deliver stable yields, high efficiency and flexible feedstock adaptability.
- Sacrificial, regenerable and catalytic purification solutions with Selexsorb®, Puristar® and Prosorb® for the petrochemical and petroleum industries.
- Sustainable gas treatment catalyst: DeNOx, VOCat and DeN2O for maintaining environmental compliance and achieving carbon footprint targets.
BASF showcases why its proven petrochemicals[1] and intermediates[2] technologies are a success factor for investment projects. Optimized through decades-long continuous process development and operational experience at BASF, the integrated solutions available for licensing are:
- SYNCRA™ process technologies include oxo‑C3, oxo‑C4, high‑purity isobutene, isooctenes, oxo‑C9 and methacrylic acid
- Polytetrahydrofuran (PolyTHF®) 1800 technology for the spandex industry, including the 1,4-butanediol (BDO)-to-tetrahydrofuran (THF) step
- Methylamines technology
- Formic acid technology
- OASE® gas treatment technologies
BASF’s century of experience in high-pressure equipment pays off when designed for pressures up to 3,600 bar:
- Reactors and vessels in solid-wall design, with or without inliner
- Double-jacket tubular reactors
- Heat exchangers
- Piping components
- Valves
Presentation at the Industry Forum
In addition to showcasing its portfolio at the exhibition booth, BASF will also participate in the Industry Forum. Shahab Taebi, Global Technology Licensing Director, Petrochemicals Division, will present BASF’s integrated solutions to support efficient and reliable operations in the chemical industry on June 9.
