Hot gas welding
Deep insight to quality inside
Computer tomography can be used to create three-dimensional digital models of plastic parts. In order to assess the quality of these parts, sections that can be placed anywhere are usually displayed. The assignment of a displayed section to the position in the component is often difficult with complex geometries. BASF has therefore developed a new tool that optically displays the cutting position on the component.
This tool is demonstrated with BASF's Weld Tester joined by hot gas welding. The high quality of the weld seam, which is achieved with the help of BASF's optimized welding process, can be seen.
During the fair, visitors will also have the opportunity to see the welding process of the Weld Tester live.
