Tinuvin® XT 55

Latest generation HALS Tinuvin® XT 55 for Polyethylene Monofilaments and Tapes

Helps producers minimize manufacturing disruption

Fibers and tapes are used for numerous applications such as technical-textiles for the construction industry like geo-textiles, roofing insulation, barrier structures as well as synthetic flooring. They must withstand harsh climate conditions, including prolonged exposure to UV light, fluctuating and elevated temperature and environmental pollutants.

When added to the polymer, BASF’s hindered amine light stabilizer Tinuvin® XT 55 helps fibers and tapes combat aging. In addition, Tinuvin® XT 55 is a high-performance light stabilizer that has very low contribution to water carry over. This means that film and tapes producers will be able to run the production line with minimal disturbance.
