BASF and its employees donate $353,000 to Capital Area United Way

BASF has announced a donation of $353,000 to Capital Area United Way. The funds were raised in 2024 through the collective efforts of BASF and its employees, including during various special events, and were officially presented during a jambalaya cookoff at BASF’s Geismar site on May 15.
BASF’s Personal Care business will unveil its “Beyond Beauty: Thrive into Tomorrow” campaign at the 2025 New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Suppliers’ Day, June 3-4, 2025, at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, booth #721.

BASF’s Responsible Care Week sparks curiosity for 1,100 Texas fifth graders

BASF’s Freeport manufacturing site celebrated its 31st annual Responsible Care Week, welcoming 1,100 fifth grade students to Brazosport Community College for an unforgettable, hands-on learning experience.
The event gave students a unique opportunity to see how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts from the classroom come to life in real-world industry applications.

BASF manufacturing leader honored at the 2025 Women MAKE Awards

BASF’s Site Director in Wyandotte, Michigan, Michele Barney, has been honored with a 2025 Women MAKE Award. Barney is one of 130 women recognized by the Manufacturing Institute (MI), the workforce development and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). The national Women MAKE Awards honor manufacturing leaders who have made significant contributions to their companies and communities, and who support efforts to encourage the next generation of female talent to pursue modern manufacturing careers.

BASF and Borough of East Newark celebrate opening of community park along Passaic Riverfront

BASF and the Borough of East Newark today marked the official opening of the East Newark Riverfront Park, a five-acre green space developed on a former industrial site along the Passaic River. The ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the culmination of a multi-year effort with federal natural resource trustees to restore and transform the property.
