Your opportunities at a glance

Internship

With us, you can complete an internship lasting a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months. We differentiate between mandatory internships (up to 6 months) and voluntary internships (up to 3 months), with the option to combine both. All internships are full-time.

Working student position

Alongside your studies, you can work with us for a minimum of 6 weeks and up to 24 months. During the semester, you will work part-time (at least 10 and up to 20 hours per week), and full-time during semester breaks. A mix of part-time and full-time is also possible.

Thesis placement

Develop your own ideas for your thesis topic and drive innovative projects forward with us. We provide personalized support along with great working and research conditions – giving you the ideal environment to complete your degree with a top practical thesis.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for young talents who demonstrate strong academic performance and have gained initial subject-specific knowledge. Communication skills and team spirit, and openness to different cultures and disciplines are important to us. If you show initiative and enjoy taking responsibility, you will fit right in. We welcome initial practical experience and involvement in activities outside of university, but do not require them.

To join BASF as an intern, working student, or thesis candidate, you must be enrolled at a university for the entire duration of your employment.
