The so-called lifestyle illnesses are global focus points of BASF's corporate health care management. Another challenge is the increasing average age of the workforce. BASF's corporate health care management contributes to the success of the company through its successful prevention work, medical advice, and treatment for the well-being of employees.

The globally applicable "Occupational Medical and Health Protection" directive forms the basis of our actions. To measure our performance and capability in this regard, we use our in-house developed Health Performance Index (HPI) with its 5 Indicators.
