NAO Sounding Board Member Prof. Yongfeng Men Honored with Three Top Scientific Prizes in 2015
Yongfeng Men has been a professor at Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC) since 2005. He started his career at Southeast University in Nanjing, China where he graduated in applied physics in 1995. In 1998 he obtained his MSc degree at CIAC and received his doctor degree from University of Freiburg (Albert-Ludwigs-Universitaet), Germany in 2001. Afterwards, in 2002 Prof. Men started his close collaboration with BASF when he joined the Polymer Research as a postdoc and physicist in Ludwigshafen. After three years in BASF he moved back to China to work as a professor at CIAC. His research is mainly dedicated to structuring and properties in polymeric systems using small angle scattering technique. He is still in close contact with BASF and we have the honour to have him as a member of the Network for Advanced Materials Open Research (NAO) Sounding Board.
During the past year Prof. Men was awarded three top scientific prizes:
We congratulate Prof. Men for his excellent work, and are happy to collaborate with such an outstanding scientist and hope to create more chemistry with him together.
