BASF increases price for calcium D-pantothenate (Vitamin B5) for animal nutrition

Ludwigshafen, Germany – April 1, 2009 – BASF increases globally the price for calcium D-pantothenate (Lutavit® Calpan) products for animal nutrition as of April 1, 2009, respectively in line with existing commitments to minimum €6.50 (US$8.50) per kg for full container loads FCA Ludwigshafen (Incoterms 2000).

 

This price increase is necessary to be able to continuously supply customers with Lutavit Calpan products and services of highest quality.

 

Calcium D-pantothenate is a salt of pantothenic acid, a vitamin, which is used in animal und human nutrition. BASF’s plant for the production of calcium D-pantothenate is located in Ludwigshafen.
