Ford Otosan commercial vehicles sport BASF coatings
- BASF supplies basecoats and clearcoats for the plant in Turkey
Münster/Istanbul. BASF has acquired new business with Ford Otosan and has supplied basecoats and clearcoats for the company’s plant in Kocaeli, Turkey, since the beginning of this year. Ford Otosan, the leader of Turkish automotive industry, is positioned as the commercial vehicles production hub of Ford Europe.
In addition to supplying paints, BASF provides support to ensure a smooth coating process with a team of field technical service representatives on site. “We are very pleased about the new cooperation with Ford Otosan,” declared Monika Pander, head of the truck, bus and van business in Europe. “In the commercial vehicle sector, the standards for quality and service the paint suppliers have to meet are high. We were able to present to Ford Otosan the competence of BASF in both areas.” In addition to a clearcoat, BASF supplies waterborne basecoats for the new customer in Turkey. Ford Otosan Paint Area Manager Mutlu Aycan stated that they are glad to work with BASF by delivering high quality products and services.
