Ludwigshafen, February 27, 2014 - Glysantin®, the Original from BASF, is celebrating its 85th anniversary as the premium engine coolant for the automotive industry. Since 1929, Europe’s largest selling and world’s first engine coolant has now been delivering the renowned triple protection against corrosion, overheating and frost. Consequently the products of the Glysantin® brand have established the most OEM approvals from the large motor manufacturers.
New look, new technologies, new markets
As part of the anniversary celebration, Glysantin® is presenting itself in a new light, undergoing a facelift and introducing a new brand manager. “As our customer base is becoming more and more global, we felt that the brand should reflect this,” explains Mark Royal, brand manager for Glysantin®. “With this in mind we decided, as part of the facelift, to digitalize the Glysantin® dog (Glys), keeping the brand vibrant for our global target groups. After Europe, Glysantin® is now establishing a growing fan base in Asia.”
Keeping Glysantin® up to date for its community of fans, the brand’s online presence has been refreshed. The brand website www.glysantin.com has been redesigned, now providing better navigation and usability for the users, e.g. by flexibly reacting to mobile devices (responsive design). The Glysantin® social media tools, Facebook and Twitter, have been integrated into the new platform.
Events throughout the year
Glysantin® will be celebrating the anniversary year with various events throughout the year. “Whether it will be trade shows, advertising or other special activities, in Europe or around the globe – people will experience the new appearance of Glysantin®,” explains Royal. “The website will serve as a great source of information to follow everything that will be going on.”
The anniversary year 2014 is both, a year to celebrate the brand’s incredible history and plan for the future. Glysantin® will continue to expand its number one position in Europe and simultaneously reach out to the world’s emerging markets such as China, Russia and India.
