- BASF expands its presence in Côte d’Ivoire by moving to a new office in Abidjan.
BASF, the world's leading chemical company, moves to a new office today located in Abidjan, and reinforces its presence in Northwest Africa. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, in the presence of several delegates from local industry associations, as well as BASF customers and partners.
This new office opening demonstrates the strengthening of BASF activities in Côte d’Ivoire and in Francophone, West Africa, providing products and solutions to a range of market segments including agriculture, home and personal care, mining, water treatment, chemicals, coating, polyurethane and polymers, construction, feed and food, and the pharmaceutical sector.
According to Khaldoun Bouacida, Country Cluster Head of BASF Northwest Africa, BASF intends to confirm its leading position in the emerging markets. “Thanks to BASF’s dynamic market and geographical position, Côte d’Ivoire represents a commercial and industrial hub for West Africa”, he said.
The growth strategy is driven by BASF’s innovative products and solutions that contribute to conserving resources, ensuring good nutrition, improving quality of life, creating local value and recruiting local talent.
