Chonburi, Thailand – November 19, 2025 – BASF today announced the expansion of its Alkyl Polyglucosides (APGs) footprint in Asia with a new plant at the Bangpakong site in Thailand. The enhancement is a strategic response to strengthen its position in a growth geography and serve customers with greater agility and more flexibility from a robust regional network.

BASF will start offering state-of-the-art polytetrahydrofuran (PolyTHF^®) 1800 production technology licenses to clients and partners. BASF is one of the leaders in the technology development of PolyTHF, with three PolyTHF production assets globally: Caojing, China; Ludwigshafen, Germany; and Geismar, the United States.

BASF Coatings has successfully commissioned a state-of-the-art production plant for automotive OEM coatings at its Muenster site in Germany. The new facility is designed to produce high-runner products, namely colors that currently represent the majority of market demand, and ensure consistent product quality and enhanced production efficiency.
