2020
BASF Türkiye Innovation Center, which is LEED GOLD Candidate and located at Teknopark  İstanbul, is opened.

2019

BASF and an affiliate of Lone Star, a global private equity firm, signed a purchase agreement for the acquisition of BASF’s Construction Chemicals business. 

2018
BASF Office located at Nidakule Ataşehir North Building is awarded LEED Gold Certificate.
BASF celebrates the 50th year of decision for the start of manufacturing operations in Türkiye.

BASF acquired  Bayer's global vegetable seeds business, mainly operating under the brand Nunhems®.

2017
BASF Türk, moved to the headquarters located at Nidakule Ataşehir North Building, which is a LEED Gold Certificate candidate.
2016
BASF acquired Chemetall worldwide.
2015
BASF celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2015.
2014

BASF's group companies, BASF Construction Chemicals, BASF Polyurethanes and BASF Coatings merged into BASF Türk Kimya Sanayi Ticaret ve Limited Şirketi on September 1, 2014.
2013
After reaching ten cities in the world, BASF's "We create chemistry" world tour came to Istanbul and met customers, members of press, NGOs and academic environment.

2011
BASF Kids' Lab, reaching over 472.000 kids in 35 countries, initiated its activities in Türkiye.
2010
BASF acquired Cognis Holding GmbH worldwide.
2009
BASF united all its Turkish subsidiaries under one umbrella company. BASF Türk, BASF Construction Chemicals and BASF Coatings moved to the headquarters located in Bostanci.
2010
BASF acquired Ciba Specialty Chemicals worldwide.
2008
BASF acquired Yaşar BASF Automative Paint Ltd. Co.'s shares owned by Yaşar Holding and began to operate under the company name BASF Coatings.
Meges Boya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş was liquidated.
2006
BASF acquired Degussa AG's Construction Chemicals Department worldwide. This acquisition meant the acquisition of Degussa Yapı Kimyasalları Sanayi A.Ş and Meges Boya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş for Turkish offices.
2001
BASF merged its production company and two sales companies in Türkiye into one company for more effective business operations.
The production company, BASF Sümerbank in Gebze was renamed as BASF Türk Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti (BTK).
This progress was followed by the merger of BASF Türk Boya ve Kimya Ltd. Şti. and BASF Agro, two BASF sales companies, under BTK. By this way, the production company and two sales companies united under one umbrella company.
2000
Elastogran GmbH, a subsidiary of BASF, acquired ISPOL which is a Turkish company located near Pendik, Istanbul. ISPOL had been producing and selling PUR systems, and providing PUR products in the Turkish market since 1985.
The name of ISPOL has been changed as Elastogran Poliüretan Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

1999
BASF acquired fourty percent of the shares (owned by Sümer Holding) of the production company, BASF Sümerbank Türk Kimya Sanayi A.Ş and owned all company shares.
1997
Lacke und Farben AG and the Turkish company Yaşar Holding A.Ş increased the paint sales in Turkey. Hence, a joint venture called “Yaşar BASF Otomotiv Kaplama Ltd. Şti.” was founded on July 1, 1997 by both groups with each having 50% share.
1970
BASF Sümerbank Türk Kimya Sanayi A.Ş. began to operate in Gebze, a district about 70 km away from Istanbul. A sales company named At-Arslan Türk Boya ve Kimya Ltd.Şti was renamed as BASF Türk Boya ve Kimya Ltd. Şti. on January 1, 1970.
1968
The Turkish government approved BASF Group's request to establish a production center for chemical products in Turkey. For this purpose, BASF Sümerbank Türk Kimya Sanayi A.Ş, a state-owned industrial holding company, was founded in collaboration with Sümerbank. BASF owned 60% of the shares in this company. The foundation date of this company was probably 11 April 1969. The company's initial operation was registered as of June 19, 1969.
1954
At-Arslan Türk Boya ve Kimya Ltd Şti , a sales company with headquarters in Istanbul, was founded on January 18, 1954. BASF AG acquired  shares of this company in July 23 (distributorship agreement).
1945-1953
I.G. Farbenindustrie AG was liquidated. New successor companies were founded.

1934
On August 1, 1934, I.G. Farbenindustrie AG signed a distributorship agreement with Türkanil, Sabri Atayolu ve Ssi (formerly Türkanil, Hans Mönius and Ssi) for product sales of the Paint Sales Union. This was followed by an agreement regarding 

product sales of the Chemical Sales Union on August 10, 1934.
1927

A distribution agreement was signed with Max Unz, İzmir and Fröhlich, Istanbul.
1925
The six largest German chemical companies including BASF merged into the German company, I.G. Farbenindustrie AG.
1880
BASF began its paint sales to its customers in Turkey for the first time.
