Please be advised of a scam currently circulating on various social media platforms, especially Telegram, that features someone impersonating a BASF hiring agent. The person makes an unsolicited job offer for a position in exchange for money to purchase work assets. BASF will never ask for anything in exchange for a job offer. All legitimate job postings at BASF can be found and applied to through our global Jobs Portal.

Does BASF provide sponsorship to candidates who require an employment visa to work in the United States?
Across the globe, BASF is committed to recruiting top talent with the goal to form the best team. In the U.S., the requirements and process for obtaining work visas is often complicated and difficult. Therefore, we are not able to offer sponsorship for every one of our positions; these decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. If you meet the requirements for the position in which you are interested, we welcome you to apply.
How long does it take before I'm contacted about my application?
We regularly review candidates who have applied to open positions and evaluate their credentials against the job profile. Unfortunately due to the volume of applications we receive, we cannot follow up one-on-one with every candidate. To learn more about our Application Process, please click on that section.

I can't find a suitable job on your website, can I still apply?
We no longer accept general applications, CVs or resumés via email. For Professional roles, you can only apply to a specific vacancy found through our Job Search Engine. If you sign up for our Search Agent service, we’ll email you with notifications of new vacancies matching your preferred criteria when they arise. For Student and Graduate opportunities into our Professional Development Program, applications are accepted year-round.
I've already submitted my online application for one position, do I need to resubmit for any other positions?
Yes. When considering candidates for a particular position, BASF considers applicants who demonstrate their interest in the position by applying online to that specific position. As a result, you need to specifically apply for the position to be considered. BASF, moreover, uses this information for applicant tracking purposes as required by applicable law.
Regarding your University Recruitment program (PDP), if we met at an on-campus career event, what are the next steps?
Typically the next steps are, if there is a mutual interest to pursue opportunities further, to schedule onsite interviews. Our University Recruitment team will coordinate directly with you how and when that would occur.
When is the start date for your University Recruitment class?
Our Professional Development Program (PDP) internships and full time positions are posted in August. Summer Hire positions are posted in January. Typically the full time Professional Development Program (PDP) classes start anywhere from May to September.
When is the start date for the summer interns?

I interviewed on site last week. When should I hear back?
Typically after an onsite interview, you can expect to hear back within a two-week timeframe from one of our Human Resources representatives. However, due to the position, travel schedules, and other factors, it can take a bit longer.
