BASF announces sponsorship of Contractor Rewards™ Program

SHAKOPEE, MN, May 2, 2011 – The Building Systems business of BASF’s Construction Chemicals Division today announced it is a sponsor of Contractor Rewards, an industry-wide loyalty program that offers trade contractors, builders and remodelers points for purchasing products from participating manufacturers. Contractor Rewards members can now earn points for BASF’s Sonolastic® NP 1™ and TX-1 sealants and Chemrex® CX-990 and CX-1000 wood flooring adhesives.

After purchasing an eligible product, a customer peels off the yellow reward code label on the carton, enters its code online at www.ContractorRewards.com and begins earning points towards valuable reward items. The program is managed by BI and its Coalition Marketing Group.

Unlike other programs, the points that the contractor obtains from all sponsors will accumulate in a single account.  The contractor can then use these points to shop online for more than 51,000 personal and business rewards, which include everything from electronics to contractor-grade tools.

“As one of the sponsors of Contractor Rewards, BASF strives to improve the connection with our professional contractor customers,” said Phil Bergum, National Sales Director for BASF’s Building Systems business. “This program allows us to reward general and sub-contractors for their purchases and recognizes them for their continued loyalty to BASF. By combining points from the other sponsors of Contractor Rewards, they can earn more valuable rewards.”

Contractor Rewards is open to all trade contractors, builders and remodelers in the commercial, residential and heavy/civil construction markets.  The program is currently limited to the United States and U.S. territories, and will launch in Canada on May 2, 2011.
