BASF presents extensive portfolio of feed ingredients at the International Poultry Exposition

FLORHAM PARK, NJ, January 21, 2013 -- BASF will feature its broad portfolio of innovative feed ingredients at the International Poultry Exposition (IPE), Jan. 29-31 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The event draws more than 4,000 attendees from the poultry industry with a focus on technological developments and issues.

Novasil™ Plus anti-caking agent for feed products – BASF booth 1557 exhibit will feature NovasilTM Plus feed additive and anti-caking agent, which is now available to the animal nutrition market in North America.

“This highly tested product significantly improves the flow properties of feed,” said Ludger Roedder,  Head of  BASF’s Animal Nutrition North America, “Novasil Plus can help our customers to significantly improve the poultry feed process.”

Novasil Plus is calcium bentonite clay, rich in montmorillonite. It can be used in livestock and poultry rations, feed specialties and individual ingredients.

The BASF exhibit will also feature Natuphos®, a feed enzyme (phytase) for improving phosphate utilization; Natugrain® TS,an NSP-enzyme for enhanced cereal utilization; and, Luprosil®, an organic acid for preservation and Lucantin®, the pigments for egg yolk and broiler skin.

In addition, BASF experts will be on hand to discuss SET – BASF’s initiative for applied sustainability. The SET program can help customers and industry stakeholders identify important sustainability issues and provide measurement and guidance on using resources more efficiently.
