- BASF will unveil new high performance ester – Synative® ES DPHA
- Visitors to booth #515-517 can interact with technology kiosks to learn more about BASF’s Fuel and Lubricant Solutions portfolio
FLORHAM PARK, NJ, May 15, 2014 -- BASF will offer its lubricant expertise and feature its diverse range of lubricant additives, synthetic base stocks and compounded synthetic lubricants for an array of applications at the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers’ (STLE) Annual Meeting and Exhibition, May 18-21 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
BASF will also introduce a new high performance ester, Synative® ES DPHA, which is registered and globally available in North America, Europe and Japan. It is expected to be available in other Asian markets soon, including China, in 2015. Key advantages include excellent frictional properties that offer the potential for energy efficiency and cost savings, extended drain intervals based on thermal and oxidative stability, and superior low temperature properties and good hydrolytic stability. Synative® ES DPHA can be used in a variety of products including industrial gear oils, drive line lubricants and hydraulic fluids.
“BASF’s strong technical expertise, global footprint and proven product performance across our broad portfolio exemplify BASF’s long-term commitment to successfully serving our customers,” said Douglas Brown, Vice President, Fuel and Lubricant Solutions, BASF. “We look forward to demonstrating our capabilities at STLE and introducing Synative® ES DPHA, as we are continually working on new and improved fuel and lubricant solutions to address industry requirements.”
Throughout the conference, BASF experts Gene Zehler and Michael Costello, Ph.D, will be instructors as part of the STLE Synthetic Lubricants 203 and 204 training courses. In addition, Costello and Vasu Bala, Ph.D will deliver a technical presentation on driveline lubricants and fuel efficiency in the general sessions.
