BASF named a Top Foreign Corporate Citizen in Canada by Corporate Knights
Company is recognized for leading the way on corporate citizenship
MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 4, 2015 – BASF has been named one of Canada’s Top Foreign Corporate Citizens by Corporate Knights, the Toronto-based media and investment advisory company. Recognized companies are considered leaders in corporate citizenship.

Companies are evaluated based on sustainability disclosure practices, financial health, product categories and financial sanctions. To qualify, companies must have a Canadian subsidiary that is a member of the 2014 Financial Post 500 list, which consists of Canada’s biggest companies by 2013 revenue. Recognized companies must also be among the top five within their industry group, and have their global headquarters located outside of Canada. In 2014, BASF was named in the Global 100 index of the world’s most sustainable corporations.
