BASF recognized as Manufacturing Leadership Awards winner
Monaca, Pennsylvania, site honored for enabling manufacturing excellence
FLORHAM PARK, NJ, March 21, 2018 – BASF has been recognized as a Manufacturing Leadership Awards winner for outstanding achievement in operational excellence at its Monaca, Pennsylvania, facility.
The Manufacturing Leadership Awards, sponsored by Frost & Sullivan, honor manufacturing companies and individual manufacturing leaders that are shaping the future of global manufacturing.
BASF’s winning project improved manufacturing performance while systematically reducing waste, and increasing production capacity of Acronal®, an acrylic dispersion product at the Monaca location, a critical manufacturing site for BASF’s Dispersions Network.
Project findings contributed to several 2017 product launches together with BASF customers, demonstrated the benefits of employee engagement and idea sharing throughout the organization, and were implemented to other Dispersions sites in North America and Asia.
The Dispersions and Resins business of BASF develops, produces and markets a range of high-quality resins, additives, colorants and polymer dispersions worldwide. These raw materials are used in formulations for coatings and paints, printing and packaging products, construction chemicals, adhesives, fiber bonding, nonwovens, and paper manufacturing.
BASF will be recognized at the 14th Annual Manufacturing Leadership Summit Awards Gala on June 13, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa in Huntington Beach, California.
