BASF’s Science Academy 2018

Twenty high school students from around the United States, Canada and Mexico earned the chance to participate in BASF’s eighth annual Science Academy. The two-week summer science program, developed by BASF Corporation and held at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey, provides students the opportunity to increase their knowledge of chemistry and learn marketable business skills. Students visit BASF research labs, and gain hands-on experience in college chemistry labs, while developing a marketing strategy to link their personal care products – hair gel, shampoo and lotion –  to the consumer. Students graduate from the program with three transferable college science credits to encourage their pursuit in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) field.
