BASF Real Results Yield Challenge delivers high yields and big wins for farmers nationwide
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, December 19, 2025 – Thousands of growers and retailers participated in the 2025 Real Results Yield Challenge, the largest nationwide comparison plots program by BASF. While most participants enjoyed the benefits of consistent performance, increased yield and a stronger ROI from BASF fungicides, three farmers also walked away with an early holiday surprise: a two-year lease on a 2025 Ford® Super Duty® F-250® Lariat®. Congratulations to the inaugural Real Results Yield Challenge winners: Danny Schnexnayder, Barry Stauffer and John Thevis.
“BASF is committed to helping farmers do the biggest job on Earth and we are excited so many farmers had the opportunity to experience firsthand the difference a BASF performance-driven fungicide can make in their fields,” said Amy Pawlick, Senior Product Manager with BASF Agricultural Solutions. “We are thrilled to celebrate Barry, Danny and John for their participation in the Real Results Yield Challenge and make their holiday season a little brighter with a new truck.”
The 2025 Real Results Yield Challenge brought together 1,800 farmers and 300 retailers from 30 states, who tested Veltyma® fungicide, Revytek® fungicide and Revylok® fungicide in real-world side-by-side comparisons against untreated plots or competitive products. Notably, John Thevis achieved a four bu/A advantage on his soybean acres with Revylok fungicide.
“In today’s challenging agriculture economy, you have to maximize your yield, and Revylok definitely brings yield to the table,” Thevis said. “With the tough commodity pricing we’re facing today, fungicide application is an investment. And Revylok returned on that investment, providing me with real results and extra money in my pocket.”
Despite inevitable pressures like disease and financial constraints, participating farmers demonstrated the important role that BASF fungicides can play in protecting crops and enhancing yield potential. These impressive outcomes set the stage for an even bigger Real Results Yield Challenge in 2026.
