Instructions for Completing Contractor Orientation Off-Site

All contractors performing any work at any BASF RTP facility must complete annual contractor orientation before conducting any work on-site.  Upon completion of the training, each contractor employee will receive a contractor orientation card that shows the date the contractor completed the training.  Each contractor must present this card upon entry to any BASF RTP facility.

To facilitate larger crews needing to complete this training, contractors may elect to allow employees to complete the training before coming on-site by following these instructions:

  1. Use the following links to allow each contractor employee to view the correct contractor orientation video based upon the location he/she will be working.  Each video is approximately 20 minutes long.
    - 26 Davis Drive site
    - 2 TW Alexander / 407 Davis Drive / 3500 Paramount Parkway sites

  2. The information in the videos also appears in the CSM (contractor safety manual).  Hard copies of this manual are available at BASF, and each contractor will receive a copy upon completion of the orientation.
    - CSM (English)
    - CSM (Spanish)
    - contractor safety orientation handout (Spanish)

  3. After viewing the video(s) and the CSM, each contractor must complete the contractor safety quiz.  The contractor employee must sign the quiz and take it to the site as proof of having completed the orientation.  If the contractor employee does not provide the completed and signed quiz, he/she must repeat the orientation at the site.

We offer this off-site orientation option as a convenience to our contractor employees.  Any misuse or intentional bypass of this process may result in removal of the contractor employee or company from the site.  If you have questions about or problems with completing the orientation, please reach out to your BASF contact.
