Colloidal emulsions are used for low cost inks, basic product identification, GCMI 90 black on natural kraft and mottled white substrates. Whether you need pH stability, color intensity or low cost-in-use, BASF can meet the needs for your corrugated printing.

High-hiding corrugated inks

High hiding corrugated inks enable better quality graphics, multiple colors with minimal trapping, high ink transfer and water and rub resistance. Joncryl opaque emulsions are used for GCMI, PMS color, brand colors and opaque whites on natural kraft and mottled white substrates.

High quality post-print corrugated inks

Joncryl polymers are used to make inks for brand colors, large solids and fine type process printing on bleached and coated substrates. Point-of-purchase corrugated displays require quality graphics, intense colors, good gloss on high holdout substrates and are usually overprinted with water-based and UV coatings.

Overprint varnish (OPV) systems

A CHOICE OF SYSTEMS

To meet the needs of different printing processes and ink systems, we offer numerous solutions for OPV:
BASF water-based systems have styrene or acrylic binding systems, providing you with maximum formulation flexibility. Formulated into water-based OPVs, BASFs wax emulsions increase surface slip and rub resistance properties, without adversely affecting gloss.

For all above mentioned systems we offer a numerous additives to further improve the print quality.
