BASF in the UAE

From its offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, BASF supplies a wide range of materials to most industries in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Our main areas of activity are Construction, Energy and Resources, Chemicals and Plastics. 

BASF has been present in the UAE since the 1970s. The company’s Dubai office in Jebel Ali is home to BASF’s  headquarters for Market Area Middle East and Egypt. Business units based out of the Dubai office include chemicals, coatings, performance materials, plastics, nutrition and health, personal care and home care, automotive refinishing and oilfield solutions.

The BASF office in Masdar City in Abu Dhabi focuses on a product portfolio which includes gas treatment, catalysts and adsorbents and petrochemical solutions.

From its state-of-the-art system house in Dubai Industrial City, BASF supplies polyurethane raw materials as blended liquid systems from which customers produce various types of foam. Industries using the foams include automotive and transportation, building and construction, footwear, furniture and appliance.

The BASF Chemetall Ltd. office is located in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi’s industrial area. Chemetall, which was acquired by BASF in December 2016, is a leading global supplier of applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries and end markets.
