BASF and Yuntianhua extend collaborative partnership to promote new nitrification inhibitor Ampliqan® DMPSA-K2 in China
Ampliqan® will support Chinese farmers to enhance nitrogen use with the potential for higher crop yields, improved crop quality and greater flexibility in fertilizer application
Shanghai, China —— A senior delegation from Yuntianhua Co., Ltd., led by Chairman Song Liqiang, visited the BASF Agricultural Solutions headquarter and the Agricultural Center in Limburgerhof, Germany. During the visit, BASF and Yuntianhua exchanged views on innovative fertilizer efficiency technologies, international carbon reduction certification initiatives, and digital farming solutions. The visit marked another milestone in the collaborative partnership between the two companies, with the signing of brand licensing agreements for Ampliqan®, as well as an agreement to collaborate on the development and commercialization of the novel nitrification inhibitor Ampliqan® DMPSA-K2 in China. Together, the companies will promote the adoption of this innovative technology, helping improve nitrogen use efficiency and delivering practical solutions that contribute to the sustainable development of Chinese agriculture.
Launched by BASF Agricultural Solutions in China in September 2026, Ampliqan DMPSA-K2 nitrification inhibitor offers excellent handling properties, storage stability, and compatibility with major nitrogen fertilizers. By reducing nitrate leaching and nitrous oxide emissions, it helps protect nitrogen from loss, improves fertilizer efficiency, and creates value for farmers through greater yield potential, enhanced crop quality, and increased flexibility in fertilizer application.
BASF and Yuntianhua share a long-standing partnership. Previous collaborations have included the promotion and application of the Limus® urease inhibitor, carbon reduction certification projects based on Limus®, and other fertilizer efficiency technologies. Together, the two companies continue to explore innovative solutions that improve resource efficiency and support the sustainable development of Chinese agriculture.
