10 August 2023 – Shenzhen, China. trinamiX GmbH, a leader in biometric and infrared sensing solutions, is bringing its latest near-infrared spectroscopy offering and trinamiX Face Authentication demonstrations to visitors of CIOE (China International Optoelectronic Exposition). The world’s largest optoelectronic exhibition will take place at the Shenzhen World Convention and Exhibition Center from September 6 to 8, 2023. trinamiX will be part of the Intelligent Sensing Expo in Hall 6, booth number 6A23.

The first invisible and secure face authentication

Combining security with convenience and design freedom, trinamiX will be showcasing its unique Face Authentication in Shenzhen. The solution is running on a smartphone reference design as CIOE visitors will witness live spoof demos with hyper-realistic masks. With the introduction of a new gold standard in biometric authentication, the solution is certified to offer smartphone users the highest biometric security to protect their data against fraud and leaks. Thanks to trinamiX’s unique algorithms, the solution also operates from underneath the display, allowing smartphone manufacturers to maximize the screen-to-body ratio, thus opening up new design possibilities.

trinamiX has also tailored its Face Authentication solution to the needs of automotive manufacturers to unlock new vehicle access and in-cabin sensing applications. The Driver Identification Display was developed together with Continental to allow for touchless and secure driver authentication when starting the vehicle and authorizing digital payments via the display.

The Vehicle Access System that trinamiX is jointly presenting with Antolin was designed for seamless integration into the exterior B-pillar, from where it allows for a keyless access to the car and protection against theft.

Improved decision-making across industries thanks to Mobile Near-Infrared Spectroscopy Solutions

trinamiX has a long-standing experience in successfully developing and marketing miniaturized NIR spectroscopy solutions based on its own patented near-infrared detectors. The company is now introducing its latest innovation at CIOE: The powerful combination of a portable handheld device and intuitive software backed by data analysis and material expertise combined in a onestop service offering.

In the field of plastics and textile recycling, users are enabled to receive on-the-spot material identification at the push of one button. trinamiX Mobile NIR Spectroscopy Solutions distinguish more than 30 plastic types as well as 15 different kinds of textiles, which greatly helps improve working efficiency among market players. In the animal feed industry, trinamiX has introduced a solution that immediately provides valuable insights into the nutritional value of a sample. It supports a variety of samples ranging from raw materials of feed to finished feed and forage. The insightful reports reflect feed quality through important parameters such as moisture, protein, fat, and energy. Thus, trinamiX provides a “NIR lab in your pocket” that helps optimize feed formulation and enhance quality control.

Individual biomarker measurement with trinamiX Consumer Spectroscopy

trinamiX is also committed to further miniaturizing spectroscopy technology by having developed a unique sensor module that can be integrated directly into a smartphone, allowing consumers to conduct personal measurements by holding their smartphones against their skin. With trinamiX NIR spectroscopy and algorithms, the sensor can measure so-called biomarkers, which reflect different aspects of a person's health. Users can thus receive tailored recommendations in real time based on individual results. At the booth, visitors are invited to experience this latest innovation in person.

"China is such an agile and growing market for consumer electronics. We are looking forward to being at CIOE to grow our footprint in China and scale our business," said Stefan Metz, Director Consumer Electronics APAC and Head of trinamiX Asia. "It’s our pleasure to present our innovations at CIOE and share our vision for the industry with experts, customers and suppliers.”
