Roof waterproofing renovation is essential for old building renovation and urban renewal. Among many roof waterproofing materials, modified asphalt membranes and liquid membranes are widely used but can easily age and crack when exposed directly. When coatings are applied directly over these surfaces, asphalt oil migration can cause the topcoat to yellow. Roof coatings formulated with Acronal^® NX 3587 ap feature a specially designed low-temperature crosslinking film-forming technology that effectively blocks asphalt migration, making it suitable for application on both new and old asphalt membranes and as a topcoat for liquid membranes.

Challenge Test: Apply the membrane coating to an asphalt membrane, cure at room temperature for 7 days, then place in a 50ºC oven, and measure the color difference value ΔE using a colorimeter.
