BASF India Limited is pleased to announce that its two dispersions plants in Dahej and Mangalore, India, have each received REDcert2 certification. These plants are the first in India to achieve the REDcert2 standard, an independent third-party audit process, marking a significant milestone in BASF’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. 

Today BASF celebrates the inauguration of its second dispersions production line at the Daya Bay site in Huizhou, China. This expansion directly responds to the rapidly growing local demand for high-quality dispersions, reaffirming BASF's commitment to serving its valued regional customers.

BASF has announced that it is changing the name of two dispersions plants in China, BASF Paper Chemicals Huizhou and BASF Paper Chemicals Jiangsu, to BASF Specialty Material Huizhou and BASF Specialty Material Jiangsu, respectively, to better reflect their diverse product offerings for various industries.

BASF has announced an investment in the production of water-based anode binders to support the lithium-ion battery industry. The new binders will be produced at two existing dispersion plants in Jiangsu and Guangdong, China. In addition to their existing product portfolios, the two plants will produce two innovative anode binders: Licity^® and Basonal Power^® based on modified styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). The new range of products is expected to come on stream from mid-2023.

BASF has announced plans to expand its polymer dispersions production capacity by adding a second production line at its site in the Daya Bay Petrochemical Industrial Park in Guangdong, China. The new line is scheduled to start operations at the beginning of 2024.
