BASF has received two awards for its innovative solutions for closing the loop on engineering plastics. The two recycling projects for polyamide 6 (PA6) presented at K 2025 – depolymerization and solvent-based recycling – received both the MATERIALICA Award 2026 (winner in the category “CO2 Efficiency”) and the Fakuma Innovation Award 2026 (2nd place in the category “sustainability”).

Ludwigshafen, Germany – BASF is expanding its portfolio of engineering plastics with new Ultradur® grades designed to help automotive manufacturers and suppliers increase the recycled content of their products while meeting demanding technical requirements.

BASF is launching a portfolio of dispersions for paper coating with a reduced Product Carbon Footprint (rPCF). Paper coating binders produced at the Ludwigshafen Verbund site are now available with approximately 20% to 45% lower Product Carbon Footprints^* than the corresponding conventional products.
