BASF in Finland
BASF is an active partner to the industry in Finland. We sell products from BASF's wide product range as well as supplementary products from other suppliers.
Our most important customers in Finland are to be found in the paper and board, packaging and chemical industries, paint industry, car paint shops, detergent industry and in the agricultural sector. We have about 80 employees in Finland and our two sites are located in Hamina and Helsinki (head office). Our salespeople are often home-based.
We supply raw materials to most industries in Finland. We market a wide range of products, including paper chemicals, agricultural solutions, crop protection products, dispersions and pigments, fuel-additives, plastics, coatings products for automotive refinish solutions. We also manufacture latex binders for paper coating in Hamina plant.
BASF Oy
BASF Oy, the operating company in Finland, represents the connecting part between the industry in our region and the competence within science and technology acquired by the BASF group during many years in close co-operation with customers all over the world. We work in close cooperation with the other BASF companies all over Europe. Among the synergy effects of a pan-European organization are the benefits we can draw from each other's know-how and special products.
We market a wide range of products, including paper chemicals, agricultural solutions, crop protection products, dispersions and pigments and plastics. We manufacture Styronal® synthetic binders for paper coating applications in Hamina.
Offering a comprehensive range of products for field and specialty crops, Agricultural Solutions division provide expert advice and solutions to suit individual farmer needs.
BASF is one of the world’s leading companies in the wood preservation industry. In Finnish markets the main product ranges are wood preservatives for vacuum pressure treatment, Wolmanit® and anti-sapstain treatment, Sinesto®. BASF Wolman GmbH develops, produces and distributes wood preservatives of the highest quality.
