BASF Recruiting Chat
The following conditions for use apply to the online consultation service via a chat system, provided by BASF SE, Carl-Bosch-Strasse 38, 67056 Ludwigshafen/Rhein, Germany (hereinafter referred to as 'BASF' or 'we'). BASF retains all rights related to or originating from the platform.
These conditions for use are designed to help interested persons to contact BASF SE. Please read the following conditions for use before you participate in a service chat.
Participation in a chat dialogue takes place on a voluntary and anonymous basis and does not require registration on the BASF website. All you need to do is enter the details required for the chat, such as your name or alias, and your inquiry. Then click on 'Start chat' and you can start a dialogue with a BASF employee in a separate browser window. You can quit the chat anytime your wish by closing the chat dialog window.
It is forbidden to insert content or provide content via the chat system which is in any way unlawful, illegal, abusive, obscene, vulgar, defamatory, hate-mongering, threatening, insulting, discriminatory, racist, sexual, pornographic or harmful to children, or which glorifies violence or which infringe the rights of other persons – especially infringement of copyrights or other intellectual property rights which may be breached if viewed by BASF or BASF group companies or their respective representatives or which may break applicable laws.
BASF is entitled to end a service chat at any time. There is no legally enforceable right to a service chat.
Participation in a chat is on a voluntary and anonymous basis and does not require registration. You alone decide which personal data you wish to provide within the service chat. The personal data gathered by BASF SE or a contracted third party is used exclusively to provide the service and quality assurance for said service.
Chat histories are saved for 12 months and are then deleted. However, you do have the option of directly downloading your chat history or having it sent to you by e-mail after the chat has ended. By entering a service chat session, you agree to the aforementioned use of the personal data that you provide of your own free will.
BASF has required its integrated service providers to comply with BASF's data security and personal data protection standards. All consultants are obliged to observe data secrecy as per Section 5 of the German Federal Data Protection Act. The online consultation service is provided via an encrypted internet connection. This prevents unauthorized third parties from gaining access to the dialogue content.
This website uses technologies provided by optimise-it GmbH (www.optimise-it.de) to collect and save data using pseudonyms for optimization purposes. Therefore, the following cookies are used:
Cookie name: REALPERSON_SESSION
Purpose: This cookie assigns your browser session an individual, anonymous identification number to the control of the online chat service.
Lifespan: Erased as soon as you close your browser
Cookie name: ONLINEBERATUNG
Purpose: Technical functionality of the underlying CRM software: When starting the online discussion, this cookie is placed to assign the dialog to an order. This functionality is not actively used for BASF recruiting chats.
Lifespan: Erased 30 days after the use of the online chat service.

BASF provides online consultation by means of a chat in its existing form with due diligance. BASF provides no guarantees, assurances, confirmation or any other type of declaration regarding the validity, accuracy, reliability and completeness of BASF content, consultation or dialog contents, or with regard to the availability or accessibility of the consultation service offered.
BASF is not liable for damages in any form under statutory regulations. In the event of slight negligence of key contractual obligations, BASF's liability is limited to compensation for typically foreseeable damages. BASF accepts no liability for slight negligence of non-essential contractual obligations. The above limitations of liability do not apply to damages in the event of death, physical injury or harm to health.
Modifications
BASF may modify these conditions for use at any time without notification. The modified conditions come into force as soon as they are published. A user's continued use of the site implies their acceptance of the modified conditions.
