Changes on the Supervisory Board of BASF SE
- Tatjana Diether succeeds Ralf Bastian as an employee representative
- Roland Strasser succeeds Francesco Grioli as IG BCE representative
Effective today, Tatjana Diether joined the Supervisory Board of BASF SE as an employee representative. As an elected substitute member, she succeeds Ralf Bastian, who retired from the Supervisory Board following the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on May 4, 2018. Diether is a full-time member of the Works Council of BASF SE. She joined BASF as an apprentice for technical drawing in 1991. Following a vocational commercial training at a private business school, she was an instructor for vocational training at BASF. She has been a member of the Works Council since 2003 and has also been a member of BASF’s European Works Council since 2017.
Today, Roland Strasser also became member of the Supervisory Board of BASF SE as an employee representative. As an elected substitute member, he succeeds Francesco Grioli, who also resigned from the Supervisory Board following the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting. Strasser has been the regional manager of the Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland branch of IG BCE (Mining, Chemical and Energy Industries Union) since November 2017. Prior to that, he was head of the IG BCE Ludwigshafen branch for six years.
